A pearl on Trysil Mountain.
Knettsetra is a pearl of Trysil Mountain, with a restaurant, pub and waffle hut in separate, old log houses on the mountain, above the Tourist Centre.
In winter there are no open roads to Knettsetra. One must ski there.
From the Tourist Centre: take a lift, either Sindretrekket, Fjellekspressen or Knetta.
From Fageråsen: via Fjellroa and the new Kanken lift. A longer, less steep route is to Fjellroa, then ski down to Høgegga, then take Høgekspressen lift up and ski down to the Knettsetra complex.
On cross-country skis, you can easily reach Knettsetra from either the Tourist Centre, Skihytta or Fageråsen.
In summertime the road is open; drive in from the county road just above the Tourist Centre.
Our 350 m2 terrace around Knettsetra and Stallen features parasol-style roofs with heaters beneath and two outside bars where you can buy food and drinks. Our liquor license extends to the entire complex.

Fondue (NOK 298 per person)
We have a fondue evening three times a week.
On Tuesdays and Fridays you ski up to us.
On Thursdays we pick you up in a caterpillar tracked vehicle from Trysilfjellet Tourist Centre, and we drive you back down again when you have finished your meal.
Transport costs NOK 100 per person.
Our fondue is served with three types of meat: beef, elk and chicken. There are three types of potatoes and a selection of salads in the buffet.
Meat with our home-made sauces will be served at your table.
We can also offer home-made desserts (NOK 105 per person).
Knettsetra’s panna cotta, made with clotted milk from Røros.
Chocolate fondant.
Vanilla ice cream with warm cloudberries.
