We start off in still waters and get to know the kayak, then gradually test ourselves in flowing water. Anyone who wants to can also try surfing on waves and have a go at some Eskimo rolls.

Two-day course in a river kayak on Trysil/Femund River. Day One starts off on still waters where you are taught how to get in and out of the kayak, different paddling techniques, life-saving skills and you will receive an introduction to the Eskimo roll.
On Day Two we go out on a grade 2 river. The day starts off with a recap of what we learned on Day One. After that we try paddling on rivers with small rapids. You’ll gradually learn different paddling techniques, traversing, navigating in and out of eddies, the Eskimo roll and life-saving skills.
The course will be tailored to your level of ability, and the challenges increase in line with your progression.
The price of the course includes a hot lunch and coffee.

Total duration per day around six hours.
Cost: One day NOK 995 per person. Two days NOK 1 850. Minimum three people.
